This was one of the first Bruichladdichs I've tasted. Back then I was not aware of the more flowery sweet noses the laddie is known for, and it took me by surprise.
The nose is indeed sweet, like a smoky lolipop, flowers and heather galore.
The palate is again, very slightly peaty. It's as if the peat is underneath, but is not surfacing up.
I can think of some dishes where adding a bit of this nectar can make even better, but don't get me wrong, this is a fine dram.
The finish is medium, with biscuity notes, and tiny wafts of peat under your tongue.
Not a very complex dram, but also a fairly cheap laddie, good entry level value.
